Knitting, After Sol Lewitt Wall Drawings

Created during my Fiber Arts class at the School of Visual Arts, this work treats knitting as a form of drawing by treating the textures of knitting/purling as lines. The patterns were inspired by Sol Lewitt’s use of vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines in some of his wall drawings (these exist as sets of instructions or simple diagrams to be followed in executing the work).
